Our new, free HANA SQL course for beginners was published today on our e-learning site www.brandeis-training.de. The course is ideal for newcomers or as a refresher of basic SQL skills. For the exercises and examples, we use our self-developed HANA Web Console. This means participants don't need their own HANA system or a development environment. You can get started right away and complete the exercises entirely in the browser.

Even though the examples and the syntax are made specifically for the HANA database, they also apply to other database systems. That's because in this course we limit ourselves to the standard features of SQL. It covers the basics of the SELECT query with all the relevant clauses. There are plenty of interactive exercises that are done directly in the browser. And the data model of the exercises is the same as in the book SQLScript für/for SAP HANA.
The SQL Course for Everyone
This course does not require any special prior knowledge. Neither proficiency in another programming language nor experience with databases is required. The course came about against the backdrop that occasionally, in our training sessions, there were participants who had no prior knowledge of SQL whatsoever. So that we don't have to start from scratch every time, we created this e-learning course. Getting started couldn't be simpler, since no software is needed. Everything takes place in the browser.
