The dominant topic of the evening was events. Paolo Sfilio showed us how events from SAP's RAP framework can be fired into the Eventing Framework and consumed from there as well. This is certainly an important technique for a wide range of scenarios and has a lot of potential.

The second talk about events, given by Felix Aller, dealt with the Kafka framework. Once again a great intro into the topic of events and the underlying way of thinking. The example with the hidden object picture was really convincing.
HTN - My First Year - A Field Report
My personal highlight was the field report by Dirk. With that we had a different kind of talk at the HTN for once. It was very impressive how much you can take away from a community event. The relevant content is one thing, but the personal contacts are at least just as important. After one HTN, Dirk was able to use both to bring about major changes in his company's projects. That impressed me a lot and reinforced my conviction that it is worth organizing and financing something like this in one's free time.
And then some BI after all...
Many thanks to Tobias Meyer, who stepped in at very short notice to round off the agenda. An exciting talk about the journey from SAP BW to Datasphere. Less on the technical level, more high-level, about what is different. The most important message for many: There is no ABAP! ;-)
Last but not least
Of course, at the very end I have to resolve the sensational title that actually made you click on the article. The beautiful new logo that Stable Diffusion (SD) generated for us was simply botched by the projector. At first I thought it was my computer. With Paolo and Dirk everything was totally pixelated too. Only when Tobias hooked up his Apple MacBook was the image back in good quality. Clearly a case of Windows bullying. Some participants also say it could have something to do with the cable that wasn't plugged in properly. But that would have made for a lame title.
