Brandeis Consulting GmbH is hosting the next SAP CodeJam Mannheim here at the Mafinex Technology Center. This free community event is aimed at all developers who want to get familiar with cloud development using ABAP. The speakers Andre Fischer (SAP) and Ingo Bräunigner (SAP) will give you an introduction to ABAP cloud development in an SAP S/4HANA 2022 on-premise environment. The basic principle is that ABAP cloud-ready and classic ABAP code can coexist in the same system, because the ABAP language version is defined at the level of the individual ABAP object. This enables a gradual transition from the classic to the cloud extension model.

To understand the basic idea of ABAP cloud development, you will learn how to:

• use the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) to develop transactional Fiori applications
• use public, SAP-released SAP APIs to access SAP functionality and SAP data
• use public, SAP-released SAP extension points to extend SAP objects
• use ADT (ABAP Development Tools) as your ABAP IDE

With the release of SAP S/4HANA 2022, the same extension model can now also be used in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition and SAP S/4HANA.

This is an on-site event (not virtual) and takes place on Friday, December 8, 2023 in Mannheim, Germany from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CET. The event language and content are English.
