About us
What does Brandeis Consulting do?
Brandeis Consulting is a specialised consulting and training company for SAP development, based in Mannheim, Germany. We support companies with the technical work in the SAP world: development in ABAP and ABAP Cloud, Core Data Services and RAP, Fiori Elements and SAPUI5, SAP BW/4HANA, SQLScript and HANA modelling, as well as performance work and clean core transformations.
Our offering has two parts that belong together:
- Training: open seminars and in-house courses lasting from one to twenty days, hands-on and in small groups, covering ABAP, CDS, RAP, Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, Embedded Analytics, SQLScript and AI-assisted development.
- Consulting and development: architecture consulting, code and architecture reviews, team sparring, project support following a training course, interim project management, and rescuing projects that have run into trouble.
We work mainly in German-speaking Europe, remotely and on site, for large corporations as well as for mid-sized companies and SAP partners.
Who we are
We are a small team of four experienced developers and consultants. Each of us is listed on this website by name and area of expertise, and these are the people who will work on your project or stand in front of your training group.
- Jörg Brandeis, founder and managing director, has worked with SAP systems since 1996. Focus areas: HANA, SQLScript and BW/4HANA. He is the author of the book "SQLScript für SAP HANA", published by Rheinwerk Verlag.
- Sören Schlegel has been an ABAP architect since 2011. Focus areas: RAP, performance and Fiori Elements.
- Marcel Hermanns brings more than 16 years of SAP experience, including several years at SAP SE. Focus areas: RAP and ABAP Cloud.
- Jörg Müller specialises in modern ABAP development and clean core transformation.
How we work
You get the seniority you pay for. We have no staffing pyramid to keep busy, so we do not put junior people on projects to fill out a team.
Consulting and development belong together. We design architectures and write the code that goes with them. That is why we know the places where a model will cause trouble in production.
Projects feed our training, and training feeds our projects. Our course material comes from daily work in client projects. The questions that come up in training take us back into projects. Both keep the material current.
You book what you need. A review before go-live, a weekly sparring session, a limited period of support after a training course. No minimum volume, no long framework agreements.
We say so when a topic is not a fit. For international rollouts with thirty consultants, we are the wrong firm. For anything that calls for technical depth, we are the right one.
